Vassily Ivanchuk placed 1st on Wednesday in the World Rapid Championship that was held in Doha, Qatar. He ended up with the best tiebrack (avg rating of opponents) after he drew the game with Alexander Grischuk & Magnus Carlsen.

Anton Korobov is the only Grandmaster who started off with a perfect 5-0-0 at the World Rapid Championship in Doha, Qatar. He is currently at the top of the standings before Round 6. Next in line, is Levon Aronian who is very close behind on 4.5/5. 

The said above event commenced on Dec 26th 2016, with many strong GM's participating in the for a massive prize fund and the championship titles which are at stake. It is going to be an action-packed event with many exciting games to follow!

That's precisely what we aim to provide a child with our tournaments & competitions.

The world champion didn't convert every chance he had during the classical time-controlled games, but pulled one off in the rapid play-off! After the 6-6 tie in regulation play, Carlsen produced a victory in Game 3 of the Rapid play-off - successfully defending his title!

The two drew their last round of the match. The big showdown will now be chosen by the tiebreaks on Wednesday with a series of Rapid & Blitz games. The heat is still on and many fans are still anxious about who the next world champion is going to be!
