Frequently Asked Questions:
What if I want to enroll my child only in one program?
You're free to enroll your child in the program of your choice. If you choose the bronze package (2 hours daily), you have the choice of making 2 programs or you could choose 1 program as well. The flexibility is provided to customize your summer program
How are the programs organized?
There will be 4 - 6 classes going on in parallel. Children will choose the programs they want to enroll in and explore during the summer. We will limit the classroom size to have a teacher: student ratio of 1:10. Hence it is a first-come-first-serve basis.
The programs are activity & project-based learning and each child will be provided a set of challenges to work on during classes. For instance, in chess, children are given access to our online portal where they can work on a given set of puzzles during a class. In robotix, the challenges are called missions and children work towards completing the mission. The coaches are trained to facilitate and guide to maximize the learning and fun. All programs are fundamentally designed to allow experiential learning.
Who are the coaches & facilitators?
At ZugZwang, each coach and facilitator is trained extensively to handle children and understand the basic nature of learning. For many this is their 4th summer camp at ZugZwang. They are all employed full-time with ZugZwang and have dedicated their lives to helping children learn.
What if I pay for 20 days and attend only 16 days?
No worries. We will prorate the payment made only for the classes attended and carry forward the unused credits for future payments if your plan allows for it.
I'd like to attend only 15 days. Which package should I choose?
If you are well aware of your plan and would like to enroll only for 15 days, we can create a customized invoice by prorating the charges. Please leave a note in the comments section while you fill the form with your specific request.
I'm there only for 5 days in April and 15 days in May?
This is the flexibility you've always been looking for. You can enroll for 20 days summer program and attend according to your convenience and travel plans.
What's your refund policy?
At ZugZwang, we want parents to make judicious choices after understanding the nature of the programs offered. There will be no refund of monies once the payment is made. However, under special circumstances with genuine reasons for failure to attend classes, we can work on a credit forward on a case-to-case basis.
Are there any additional costs?
Any purchase of new chess sets and rubik's cubes will be charged extra. All registration charges for new students will be waived during summer. Any transportation provided will be charged extra
Is there a facility to pick up & drop my kid?
Yes we do have a facility to pick up and drop kids within a reasonable distance from our center. Please get in touch with us with your request for the same. As the capacity is limited, we again will be assigning this on a first-come-first-serve basis.
Can I bring my own device?
We use tablets and laptops to access various resources online. You are free to bring your own device with stated permission from the parent to do so. It is the prerogative of the student to carry their device and their responsibility to keep it safe.
